our ON COUNTRY EXPERIENCES and programs

Each experience at Rest On Country (ROC) is purposefully planned and developed to reach the goal-oriented outcome laid out by the planning team. The planning team is a collaboration of ROC staff, your organisation and the participants.

In planning our experiences, we focus on the ROC model:

NDIS Support

Rest On Country provides support and services that assist participants to increase life skills and engage with their local community to reach personal goals. Our ROC model above outlines how we determine what these goals may be for each individual.

ROC ADVENTURE CAMPS

Our camps are carefully designed to align with the ‘ROC Model’ to help meet the needs of individuals and groups set out by you or your organisation. We provide custom-built camps that include a range of activities, both cultural and adventure-based, depending on your particpant’s goals.

day PROGRAMS

From cultural activities to hiking or fishing. We offer a wide range of programs based on individuals’ or groups’ identified needs. Using our ROC model, we can tailor a day adventure specifically for you or your organisation!

educational PROGRAMS

At Rest On Country, we understand the importance of sharing knowledge, history and learning to help foster stronger connections to culture. Our educational programs help to provide a relaxed cultural experience through storytelling, hands-on activities and presentations.

cultural cook-ups

Food is known to bring people together. We offer Aboriginal, Torres Strait Islander and Polynesian cooking programs for everyone to enjoy. ROC provides the tools, food and knowledge of different ways that Island cultures traditionally cook food.
